Signatures at Tony Starlights September 9

My Favorite Girl Group!!!!  You gotta hear them to know what I'm talking about.  In this day of poor singing style by the current generation - you know that Mariah Carey warbling and whiney scaling, it is fun to hear people who can take a song; make it special and yet not corrupt.

First set was a variety of new tunes and familiar Signatures interpretations on the "classics".  I must admit that when Kat and Karla teamed up for "Dog and Butterfly", the hair on the back of my neck stood at attention.  Seriously WOW!  And, just to show off their versatility, the quartet belted out a song from the Queen songbook.  Yes, Meredith, Queen!

The second set was the entire Carole King Tapestry album.  Barbara stood out with her solo of
"Will you still love me tomorrow?"  Damn right, I will!

Just to keep us off balance, they ended the show with "Love me tender",  normally a 'gag me with a spoon' song but more than tolerable in their hands.  ( Hey, Barb, Space Captain would have been more fun!)
I love this group!!!!!!

Dog and Butterfly - Oh My!

Karla

Suzette hittin' her stride.

Yes, Barb, we'll still love you tomorrow!

The Man behind the curtain - Bo Ayars.

Guest Pete Peterson; yes!
